How we handle gutter cleaning
Sacramento's tree canopy is one of the best in the country, and it all ends up in your gutters. Oak leaves, pine needles and the seed pods from sycamores pack in tight, and when November storms arrive the water spills over fascia boards and pools at the foundation.
We hand-clear every run from a stabilized ladder, flush each downspout with a hose to confirm it drains, and bag everything so your lawn stays clean. You get before and after photos from the roofline so you can see what we pulled out.

Gutters are the add-on most often quoted blind. We price on measured linear feet, the number of downspouts and how much litter your canopy actually drops, so the number on the estimate is the number on the invoice.

Debris is counted in 30 gal contractor bags. Prices are sample figures shown for illustration and apply when gutters are added to a booked glass visit, so there is no second trip charge.
Profile and size
We record whether you run 5 in or 6 in K-style or half-round, and whether downspouts are 2 x 3 or 3 x 4. A 6 in gutter on a 2 x 3 spout is the most common reason a clean gutter still overflows.
Hand clear, then flush
Debris comes out by hand into a bucket, never blown onto the roof or the beds. Then every run is flushed with a hose so we see water leave the bottom of each spout.
Downspout blockages
Blocked spouts are cleared from the bottom with a drain rod or an auger. If the blockage is in an underground drain line we say so and stop, because that is a drain trade, not ours.
Fascia and drip edge
Tiger-striped fascia and the front lip of the gutter are hand-washed while we are up there. Streaking is oxidized aluminum and bitumen runoff, not dirt, so it needs a detergent rather than a rinse.
Slope and seals
We check fall against the rule of thumb of about a quarter inch per 10 ft, and flag dripping end caps, split miters and loose hidden hangers with a photo. Resealing is quoted separately.
Debris volume
Debris is bagged and taken with us. What comes off a Sacramento roof in November is mostly oak leaf and needle litter, and it composts fast into the sludge that holds water against the fascia.
